Barcelona, 14-15 November 2013

The city of Barcelona is well known for its unique atmosphere that stimulates outstanding achievements in the arts, sports and sciences. Thanks to a number of excellent research institutes, the city enjoys a steady growth of its scientific activity. As a result, a new brand has been created: the IRB Barcelona PhD Student Symposia!

IRB Barcelona PhD Student Symposia are designed to create an intense and open atmosphere, aiming to stimulate productive interactions between the various branches of biology and chemistry, bringing together leading scientists and young researchers from all around the world.

The 3rd IRB Barcelona PhD Student Symposium, The Clock of Life: cellular and molecular processes of development, ageing and disease will encompass those homeostatic and aberrant procedures which take place during the development and ageing of organisms, from both chemical and biological viewpoints. Nine renowned senior researchers will cover a variety of topics, starting from molecular level up to the entire organisms; a round table discussion and social events for all the attendees will follow.
