The Panama canal connects the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean. On a sailboat, it takes two days to cross with an overnight stop on the artificial Gatun lake.

These beautiful animals can be found in Isla Isabela in Galapagos. The colour of their feathers is given by the algae they eat, the ones in Galapagos are known for their bright pink plumage in comparison to the paler European or African species.

The famous Galapagos iguanas can swim and feed mainly from algae found underwater. They can be distinguished by their blunt snouts and characteristic white heads given by salt deposits expelled from their nose.

Orville and Wilbur Wright designed, built and flew the world's first plane on the 17th of December 1903.
This photo was taken on the top of the hill where the first flight took place.

This world-famous Roman amphitheatre was built in 30 AD and is located in Verona, Italy.
Visiting it close to sunset can bring out some very scenic colours which can enhance your overall experience.

The city of Bath in England was named after the thermae located in its centre.
Rain water from the Mendip Hills is warmed by geothermal energy at more than 2700 meters of depth and bubbles through the limestone and into the pools.
Bathing in the original pool is no longer allowed due to the presence of deadly pathogens, but the buildings and a museum of artefacts can be visited.

A group of tourists enjoys a sunset horse promenade in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. Camargue is known for its beautiful horses.
This region in the south of France is also famous for its marshes, natural habitat of many species of birds such as flamingoes.

This chateau was built is located in the Domain of Versailles as a retreat for King Louis XIV of France.
Here, he could enjoy meals with his official mistress, the Marquise of Monstespan.
The palace includes a peristyle with Languedoc red marble columns surrounding the garden.
