Most people ask me if I don't get tired of eating plants being a vegetarian. In fact, there are a lot of options.
I don't really know why am I doing this because they are not paying me, but either way:
This is not a vegan restaurant you're right. But the thing here is to try their vegan meals. They have different placements around Barcelona. Dishes are not only delicious but also thought to be healthy, or at least that's what they say. My recommendation would be the "my vegan japanese girlfriend bowl" (yes, it is a menu option).
A bit expensive though (20-40€)
Maybe I lied a little, this is not a vegan restaurant either. Buut it is another healthy, and nutritious, and all that restaurant (also cheaper). They sell healthy-like fast-food and have placements in Barcelona, Lisboa, and Madrid. You have to choose some options from a menu, House-Made Falafel is my favourite.
More or less 15€ if you want dessert.
This one is completelly vegan, or at least I think so. They have a lot of interesting (and maybe for some people weird) possibilities in their menu. But I do think that the best is to try their daily menu. In particular the "Thali". I am not a huge fan of curry but it was delicious.
If you go for the menu I think it was less than 10€ with dessert (maybe 8.5€?).
Too much time since I've been to this one. I can't even choose between their incredible pizzas, vegan tacos or their salads. Their "bravas" are also quite good. This option is just the tipical neighborhood restaurant but vegan. Maybe one of my favourites. Oh, true, they also have Coctails ;).
It is a bit expensier though, maybe 20€ if I'm not loosing my memory, which I am sometimes.
The name may fool you a bit because they don't only have pizzas although they have nothing to loose if compiting with non-vegan pizzas. They also have 100% vegan frankfurts and sandwiches. They say that all dishes are handcrafted and with ecological ingredients (and all that). It is not a huge place but it is delicious.
Money depends hugely on what do you want to eat.
This option is specially thought to Indian-food lovers or people that aren't afraid of trying things. You may pass by this restaurant and not even look, but I promise that food here is from another world. I think my favourite dish is "Paneer Tikka Dosa", although the difficult name pronunciation and that it has non-vegan cheese in it.
Menu is about 13€ including drink and dessert.
Close to Veggie Garden, BioCenter is one of the oldest vegan restaurants in Barcelona. I think that I've never seen so many vegetarian (not always vegan, :( ) burger options. For someone like me that is not used to have that many options, this can be a problem even. They also have a lot of salad options if you want to try options that may seem weird at first sight.
Complete menu is about 12€ more or less.
Gràcia was classified as one of the most hipster-based places in the world (next to Malasaña in Madrid), and this place I think that is totally inncluded in that description. Tipical "alternative" place with vegetarian burgers, toasts, bowls, and artisan beer. But what am I going to do if food is good. They also have a vegan bakery, just try it.
A bit expensive maybe, 12€ or so a burger.
Not at all known in Barcelona but close to our faculty and with very good options. Alright I am cheating again because it is not vegan, but they do have things that are soo worth. For isntance the hummus, which comes with some kind of bread that bff... I don't even know what to say about it.
You can eat for 10-15€
There are a lot of places that I have not tried yet. Buuuut, someday I will.
