No sooner had I arrived in this city than I felt in love with it.

I'll post here my favourite places, "my" Barcelona.

All the pictures were taken by me and have no filter.

Who am I?

Hi everyone! My name is Sara and I was born in Madrid, Spain. 4 months ago I moved to Barcelona to study a MSc in Bioinformatics. I am really in love with this city, so I decided it was a good idea to post in this website my favourite places of Barcelona. My intention is to show you "my" Barcelona and make it a little bit yours too. Everything started when I visited Barcelona for the first time, when I was 6 years old (1st picture). 14 years later I came back as a tourist (2nd picture). That was 3 years ago, and finally I'm now living here (last 2 pictures).

Sunrises and sunsets in Barcelona.

If you enjoy watching “la sortida del sol” (the sunrise) and “el cavespre” (the sunset), you will love Barcelona. Personally, I love watching both of them at two places: Barceloneta beach and Montjuïc.

Barceloneta: The main plus point this place is obvious: the sea. You can relax seeing the sun while you are listening to the waves breaking in the sea. If I were you, I would wake up early in the morning, buy a coffee and something to eat in the surrounding cafés, and sit in the sand while the sun raises.

Montjuïc: In this case, the main advantage of this place is that there you are able to see a panoramic view of the city. Also, it will be less crowded than the beach. You will watch the sun being reflected in the city buildings, in such a way that everything looks pink.

As a Barcelona lover, I love going to places where I can have a panoramic view of it. The most important and famous ones are the Bunkers, which are a bit apart from the city center, but they are worth it. They are also famous for their sunsets. Montjuïc and Tibidabo are also good places to see the whole city from above.
