One Repetition Max

There are many ways of measuring ones strength but above the king of measurements is the One Repetition Max (1RM): how much weight you can maximally lift for one full repetition.
Now, why would you want to know your 1RM? Aside from having a handy answer to the inevitable “so, how much do you bench?” question, there’s two other big reasons: one being for programming and the other for motivation.
One of the standard algorithms for 1RM calculation, and proven reliable (Abdul-Hameed et al., 2012) is the Brzycki algorithm (Brzycki,1993).
