Novi Sad is the second biggest city in Serbia located on the river Danube. In the last decade it became quite popular among young people as it hosts the EXIT music festival. In year 2019. it gained the title of European Youth Capital, while this year (2022) it is declared as European Capital of Culture.

One of the characteristics of Novi Sad is it's view on Petrovaradin fortress at the opposite bank of the river.

The Golubac Fortress was a medieval fortified town located in the Djerdap national park in the eastern border of Serbia. This is the point of the widest riverbed of the Danube river in Serbia.
