Mallorca is the largest island of the Balearic Islands, located in the Mediterranean sea. It has an area of 3640 km2 and its capital is Palma de Mallorca, where I am from. It has two montaunois regions close: la Serra de Tramuntana and la Serra de Llevant that enrich the island with nice excursions, beautiful villages, beaches and a variety of caves both above and below the sea. The highest mountain is el Puig Major, located in la Serra de Tramuntana. The central zone is called el Pla de Mallorca, it is plenty of villages. The non-mountainous litoral area has very large sand beaches.

It is a touristic island known for its beaches, excursions, good weather and good life style. It is also known for party in Magaluf, Arenal and Alcudia... It is something that I do not like. I use to go to Verbenas in summer, villages popular festives. I recommend you to go!
