Puig des Teix

Es puig des Teix is a mountain of the Serra de Tramuntana of 1064 meters. It is a circular excursion of 4 hours and half with a medium difficulty level. It can start in Valldemossa or in Deià. We started it in Valldemossa, in camí de Son Moragues.

At the beginning, there is a very huge slope where I got very tired. Then, it continues for es camí de s’Arxiduc that it is flatter and gives you a very beautiful views of the Serra de Tramuntana coast from 1000m higher. We stopped to have lunch before climbing the peak. All peaks in Mallorca are indicated by a pylon. You can see a picture of me there. Finally, we went down by another way to arrive to Valldemossa again. I recommend you to do it but not with hangover hahaha!

Puig des Galatzó

Es puig des Galatzó is a mountain of the Serra de Tramuntana of 1027 meters. It is a circular excursion of 4 hours and half with a medium difficulty level. It starts in the Andratx-Estellencs route, at kilometer 97. The whole way is very well signaled..

The slope is more progressive than in es Puig des Teix. It starts in camí de Son Fortuny, it arrives to a picnic zone in Boal de Ses Serveres. It continues ascending and allowing you to start enjoying the views until arrive to the Pas de Na Sabatera. At this point, the huge ascending to the peak starts. We had lunch at the peak, you can see a picture of us there. We went down to the Boal de Ses Serveres to take the alternative way to go down. I recommend a lot this excursion but it is necessary to be fit!

Es Torrent de Pareis

Es torrent de Pareis is an excursion across the torrent canyon considered the most extraordinary tour of the island. It starts in Escorca, at 630 meters above sea level and it continues until arrive to the Entreforc, the beginning of the torrent. It allows you to pass across the Gorg Blau or sa Fosca canyon and contemplate the great crack of more than 250 meters high. It is finishes in its mouth, called sa Calobra. A very beautiful stones beach where you can arrive doing the excursion, by car after driving one hour on a mountain road or by boat. There are many boat excursions from Sóller.

It has been declared Natural Monument due to its biological and geological oddities. The landscape as well as the difficulty, change during the year, depending on the season. It is recommend to do it in spring. I cannot explain my experience because, sadly, I have never done it. It is in my to do list! Anyway, I know that it is difficult and it is convenient to take enough water and food. I did not do the excursion but I have been in sa Calobra, I considered it one of the most beautiful beaches in Mallorca. I highly recommend you to go (and make the excursion as well)!
